Quotables…

Sometimes I just have to laugh at the words that come out of the mouths of our family. These all occurred in a matter of a couple hours after I got home from work!

Conversation between Sean and I about Bauer starting to chew on rice crackers shaped like pinwheels:

Julie: “Bauer loves him some pinwheels. Sometimes I think he’s choking on them!”
Sean (from his office): “I think the same thing!”
Julie: “We are such good parents” as I hand him another pinwheel to naw on.

Bree when I turned off the Christian music that plays on one of the TV channels to turn on “Curious George”

Bree: “Bye Bye Jesus”
Julie: “Sean did you teach her that?”
Sean (from his office): “What? No I didn’t teach her that”
Bree: “Bye Bye baby Jesus!”

Julie and Bree when we were reading Bauer a story before bed

Bree: “Wipe box”
Julie: “Don’t throw that wipe box!”
Bree throws the box at Bauer
Julie: “Ummm…what part of do not throw did we not understand?”

Bree to Julie in regards to what Bree wants for dinner

Julie: “What do you want for dinner if you don’t want those chicken nuggets?”
Bree: “Vegetables”
Julie: “What??? Show me! (opening freezer)”
Bree: picks up bag of frozen spinach from the door and starts screaming “VEGETABLE!!!”
Julie: “What kid asks for vegetables for dinner…have I been depriving you of vegetables?”
Bree: “Vegetables???”
Julie: “Let me microwave some if we don’t have any in a can.”

And finally…while Bree and I are getting her ready for bed (this one is less funny and more just our life during the newly named “Terrifically Challenging Twos”)

Julie: “Time to get in bed”
Bree: “NO!”
Julie: “Alrighty then…”

I was telling one of my best friends today that I sometimes feel like I’m on a sitcom and people are watching our lives…unfortunately I think its a lot funnier live than when I relive it later!
