One of those amazing moments…

Bree tonight was quite convincing that she just wasn’t ready for bed. So a little after eight, after she agreed to cleanup a few toys, we went downstairs for some water.

While enjoying our night-night delaying H2O by the love-seat, Bree picked up a piece from her ‘BRIANA’ puzzle, color side away, and gave it a serious look. Then she looked up at me and said “Pink.” It was! Joyfully excited, I also suddenly became more curious than George. So I grabbed another letter, showed her its non-colored back and asked her the color. One by one she got them all right, even the two different ‘A’s (Pic of puzzle below). Wow, I was so amazed! I also wanted to take it up a level.

One of the toys we cleaned up before coming downstairs is a really cool necklace making set Grammy gave us (also in the pic below). It’s made of various colored shapes and animals. I would grab one out of a bag, hide it in my hands and ask questions playfully like “I have the bunny, do you know what color it is?”, “now I have triangle, what color is it?” and so forth. She was an outstanding 8 for 10.

Now I was more than amazed, I was floored. Literally, as we sat down and played with her princess snap’n'style dress up doll for awhile. Somewhere around nine o’clock I tucked her in again. This time, though, there wasn’t a peep. Sweet dreams girl.

Bree’s ‘BRIANA’ puzzle, necklace set and princess dress up doll. Also in the pic is one of Bree’s ice cream cone tops. Julie has taught Bree the concept of flavors. The one here is strawberry; and yes, it is still pink as well.

The letter she first picked up is the pink ‘B’ in her ‘BRIANA’ wood puzzle.  We got the puzzle at the State Fair.

Bunson is always such a great sport and wanted to get in the picture. My Crown and Coke is by the basket :)
