So here we are at 7 and a half months and wondering where the time goes! Bree gets more animated each day. She laughs at nothing, at us, at the dogs, at the tv, and at everything in between. She is still talking up a storm and we have “heard” her say “mama”, “up”, “bottle” and a few other words we are still trying to figure out. We are hoping for a repeat performance of at least one of these words so we can mark it down as her first!!! Bree is trying her darnest to crawl…we have watched her in such a frustrated state learn to lean over, turn one leg, then turn both legs, fall on her stomach, push up on her arms, fall on her stomach, cry, look up to us with those big blue eyes, push up again, scoot backwards, get confused, fall on her stomach, cry, and evenutally figure out how to sit up again. She reachs for a lot of stuff, but never really crawls towards it. It’s around the corner we have no doubt. We aren’t in much of a hurry b/c the baby proofing of our downstairs has not started yet. We have definitely thought about it, but just haven’t gotten started.
Bree has started to love the pool and not even mind baths as much. She may be a water baby after all. We have many weekends at the lake in late August and the beginning of September. Bree loves to play with her cousins and Andrew (he’s almost 1 and half) loves to say “baby” and point at Bree. Bree loves to touch his face and just stare at him when he wanders around her. Its hilarious to watch them and we have no doubt that they will become the best of friends!
We have had another exciting opportunity come into our lives this past week. Starting in January, Julie will be working only parttime for 20 hours and be able to spend the rest of the week with Bree. Its an incredible opportunity to still work at UTA and with the students she loves, but have full days each week to have adventures with Bree.
The blessings continue to be bestowed upon us and we are so thankful for our precious, healthy daughter and all the joy we have received from being a family.
