Halloween Chaos

So today we had our first event of the Halloween season. Yes, kids these days don’t just celebrate Halloween once, we are on track for wearing our costume a total of four times.  So when it comes to the kids and a mom deciding what they will be, you now have to throw in the ability for the costume to withstand the wear and tear of numerous appearances.  I think the Murphy’s get a gold star in that category and for reuse in the future as well.

We headed over to a friend in our MOMS Club group, Lisa’s house, for the MOMs Club Halloween Party.  It was a pretty chaotic, but fun gathering of about 40 or so moms and kids.  The kids wandered and the moms chased and in the middle of it all there was trick or treating, games and food.  All the wonderfulness of Halloween and the chocolate candy it brings to my belly has started….

Bauer had his game face on before we headed to the party.  He might be the cutest Cardinal baseball player ever.

Bree was very excited to play with other people’s toys at the party…she was a pretty adorable TCU football player as well.

If there is swinging….Bree will find it.

Bauer joined the other boys in the car racing part of the party…one little boy just crawled onto the track and just stayed there…lol!

Then there was trick or treating…Bree really had never done it before so this was a easy first chance to get acclimated and she scored me some twix and a couple kit-kats.  YUM!

Bree even realized the prospect of trading candy with other kids without me even telling her.  Here she is exchanging with “Dora”…Bree was so excited about her “backpack, backpack”!

This is as close as I could get to capturing the chaos on film…it was amazing!  Here’s to all the brave moms who attended and the even braver mom who hosted!  Thanks Lisa!
