Let the performance begin…

Nothing beats seeing your two year old little girl in her dance tights, leotard and tap shoes do a little jig to “Frosty the Snowman”.  It is classic “this will one day be on a video montage when you graduate from high school, graduate from college and when you get married”.  The pictures just don’t do it justice.  But have no doubt I took a video as well.  I’m not sure how to get that on the blog, but Sean will do it first thing when he gets back in town.

When we first arrived at Holiday Magic and Bree saw all the chaos of the 11 different classes that were performing in the lobby, Bree immediately started freaking out and didn’t want to have anything to do with it.  One of the other teachers took care of her immediately and said to me, “Mom, don’t worry about her, its just loud and she’s just a little unsure…she will be fine!”  Bree then refused to pull her tights over her feet so the teacher said “Just stick on those tap shoes, its fine.”  I love United Dance and Cheer more and more each day.  They are just so understanding and not pushy.

Bree got over her fears pretty quickly and waited ever so patiently for her 2 minutes of fame.

Then they finally got on the stage!

PRECIOUS!!!

A close up of my VERY TALL Bree with her “dance friends”.

Afterward, I told her I needed one good pic of her so we could remember the day.  The theme of Holiday Magic was “Rock N Roll Christmas” so I tried to get one with the thematic guitar in the pic.  Bree just could not stop dancing in the pic.  She really got a rush our of performing.  So fun!

And finally, this one is for you Daddy…she stood up tall so that you could see how pretty she looked in her tutu!  We miss you!

Watching your kids practice something for weeks and then perform may be one of the coolest “mom” feelings yet…
