Where’ve you been?

That is what my computer has been screaming at me unmercifully for the last two weeks.  We just got internet in our new house last night and I downloaded pics to blog and realized I have almost 300 pics that could be blogged about.  That makes me sleepy.  VERY SLEEPY.

So I’ll just give you a little recap of our last two weeks…

We moved houses in about 5 days…it was as painful as it sounds.  We got the furniture moved by movers the first day and spent the rest of the week constantly NEEDING something from the other house.  It is only starting to become humorous now. Needless to say, we will NEVER be moving again…really, Sean, NEVER!

The day we had to be out of the old house we were to be a Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner for my dear friend Kori.  The next day was an all day affair of bridesmaid fun finishing with the wedding that night.  So no rest for the weary…

My partner in crime, Christie!

The happy bride and groom…in the limo!

Sean and I at the end of the night when we finally took a picture together!

The day of the wedding was also Sean’s birthday…I did take him to a good party for this birthday, but we needed to have a Murphy celebration.  So Sunday night, Bree and I made a cake and Monday morning we had a breakfast sized “Happy Birthday” song and piece of cake.  What a great way to start the week!

That Monday night we decided to decorate the Christmas tree.  We were not trying to bypass Thanksgiving.  We just didn’t see any point in putting the tree back up in the new attic for a week or so when it just came down from the old attic.  Yes, laziness…that is the reason!

Bauer was way more interested in the bubblewrap that protected some of the ornaments.

Bree was honored to put the star on top of the tree!

She also got really good at putting ornaments on the tree…and yes, she’s in her shirt and diaper again!

Bauer liked to clap when he or Bree successfully put an ornament on the tree.

Sean and I ended up doing most of the decorating…as you can see the kids were way more interested in the vacuum cleaner.

They did get excited to play with the Little People manger scene on the hearth.

The next few days were spent doing lots of Christmas themed crafts.

Bauer somehow managed to spill the sequins EVERYWHERE!!!  Gotta love that kid’s ability to get into babyproof containers.

We celebrated Thanksgiving by starting with our own Murphy Trot (a less expensive, less stressful version of my favorite Dallas Turkey Trot).

Oh BOB stroller, how I love thee.

Beaker (always lagging) and Beaker (always pulling)…what a combo.

The Murphy Trot has a stop midway for some playgrounding…

Where’s Bauer?

My boy/girl twinkies…

In the afternoon we headed over to my sister’s house in Richardson.  We had a great time eating all the delicious food the family made.  It was such a beautiful day…and I have such a beautiful family…couldn’t ask for a more blessed combination.

Mom and I enjoying the sunshine…

Checking out the Thanksgiving lizard!

Andrew starts off the meal with a solo.

My sister’s gorgeous table.

Bree actually sitting in her seat.

Allison and Sean are two peas in a pod.

I’m so thankful for my two gingermen..

Coloring instead of eating…one day they will learn the yumminess of a Thanksgiving feast!

Audrey showing off her drinking skills…

After dinner naptime…

In our long after Thanksgiving weekend, we’ve just been unpacking boxes, dancing in front of the Christmas tree, sitting on our dog horses, and learning some new hockey moves.

We also ventured out to our last tailgate of 2009 this morning…TCU had a perfect season…
12-0 and we are headed to a BCS bowl!

AMAZING!!!

So there’s our update…hope you all had a fabulous holiday as well!!
