Spring is here…

We did it.  While we may have complained and tried to stop wearing coats long before the weather was willing, I’m pretty sure we have turned a proverbial corner.  SPRING IS THAT YOU???!!!

I’m just going to assume this great weather is here to stay and declare that it is Spring!  YAY!

Despite the weather being gorgeous, we spent the better part of last week trying to rid ourselves of the stomach bug.  I had it first (and luckily the worst out of us four), then Bauer, then Bree and finally Sean had a 24 hour stint that was equally unpleasant.  You just never knew when it would strike and that was just pretty darn unfortunate.  But we “Lysol”ed our hearts out and washed everything that can be washed.  Knock on wood, but I venture to say that we have escaped alive.  Or better yet, we didn’t escape, we just killed the invader.  Only time will tell, but so far so good.

So needless to say, the kids missed some school last week and then this week is Spring Break.  Oh don’t  think that 20 month olds and 3 year olds don’t get a Spring Break…they need a break from the stress of school just like the big kids folks!  YAY!

It becomes a scheduling issue for those in the field of education who don’t get a spring break as well…that would be me.  But I luckily got one of my favorite students (who decided to stay home for spring break) to come play with the kids on my work days!  Thanks Maria!

In the time I’ve been home we’ve had some fun times:

We have made good use of our backyard!

Lots of sliding and swinging at our park and the school parks up the street.

We’ve also had some fun indoors as well!  Bree continues to love to dress up in her multiple tutus!  Bauer has decided lately to join in the fun!

Bree casts spells on all of us…but mainly Bauer.  She has turned him into a puppy and a frog amongst other things.

Oh Bree fairy…

Such an unsuspecting little guy…this picture will so be in many a video montage in your future!

We also have ventured outside of the house.  Bree got to attend a birthday party for one of her favorite friends last Saturday.  Harper had her party at “Van Grow” Art Studio in Fort Worth.  We got to partake in lots of fun crafts.

Besides the cake, Bree loved the dragon outside the studio the very best!

While Bree and I were at the birthday party, Sean took Bauer on a Daddy/Son trip to see Thomas the Train.

Have I mentioned how much Bauer LOVES trains?

Sean said he was in absolute awe that Thomas was life sized right in front of him.

The date was perfect until it was time to leave.  Bauer’s not a fan of being told to do anything…love that the terrible two’s are appearing already!

So again, sorry for another week hiatus from the blog, but eradicating a stomach bug from your house is very time-consuming, then there was Thomas and birthdays, oh and enjoying Spring!

Happy Spring everyone!
