June 15th, 2008 marked Sean’s second Father’s Day. What a difference a year can make…we both seem like old hats to this parenting thing (at least to each other) even though we know we are still so uneducated on what even tomorrow will bring.
My question is when do you really accept the fact that these holidays you continually celebrated for other people are now in fact yours as well! It will probably be years…
We spent the weekend at Lake Kiowa with the family and it really was the best present Sean could have asked for. He got to have serious quality time with Bree and got to partake in several home improvement projects with Dad. Dad says that was his Father’s Day present to Sean…letting him use tools??? Oh the differences in men and women!
As another year’s Father’s Day celebration has come and gone, I am still in awe of my husband. He is definitely the best father anyone could hope to have. I told him yesterday that even in the most stressful of times he’s the guy I want in my corner. The world is full of such uncertainty and I know with him as my partner and one of the guiding forces in Bree’s life we will be just fine! So thanks Sean for being so incredible and inspiring me everyday to be a better partner and parent! I love you!
