The tradition of trains…

How many years does it take to establish a tradition?

Well, visiting the The Trains at Northpark is quickly becoming a favorite one in this family and it’s only two years in the making.

We took two very excited kids (well, I guess Bennett was excited too) to see the exhibit of trains in Dallas this past week.

Sean and I always find so much to enjoy about the exhibit as well.  The ability for a room of trains to impress young and older minds alike is probably why we will continue doing this year after year.

Bauer practically danced his way around the room the entire time we were watching the trains.  Luckily Sean and I were able to catch a few pictures amidst all the madness!

My guy with his guysThe Fair Park portion is always my favorite…you can even make our Big Tex in this picture. There were a few Thomas trains we spotted in the picture below.  Both Bree and Bauer thought that was pretty cool so we watched it go around and around and around.Nothing is sexier than a hubby with a bjorn pack looking at trains! Our annual family pic in front of the big fountain.  It is hard to believe Bennett wasn’t even on the radar this time last year!We finished the night at the much anticipated “slides”. These planters double as kid entertainment.  The kids run up the side and slide down…brilliant!Big kids and small kids alike gave our outing two thumbs up.

And the Starbucks on the way home was a nice bonus from my fabulous hubby as well!
