Necessity is the mother of…

The weather is gorgeous here in Texas.  We headed out for a play-date at the Naders and decided to walk in the wonderful sunshine instead of drive over.  It’s about a 10-15 minute walk for me and even though I knew it would probably be double that with the 3 kids, I decided to take my chances.

The walk there was amazing.  Bree did an exceptional job holding my hand and walking alongside the stroller.

Then three hours of playing later, she was a little more tired.

She had good reason to be tired….there were lots of meals to prepare with her buddy Lydia,

lots of boys to keep in line…

And an intense game or twelve of “hide and go seek”!

Such a fun play-date that we were sad to see end!

We got about a block into our walk home and there was some serious lagging behind.  It may have taken us hours to get home at that rate and Bennett was due to eat soon!  He wasn’t a bit interested in my problems with his big sister and her tired legs.

So I did what I had to do and safety regulations just had to be ignored:

I’m impressed with the versatility of the Graco double stroller and my upper body strength – we lived to take pictures and tell about it!  And yes, Bree is definitely in her Halloween pjs 3 days before Christmas!  Just another day in a Murphy world!
