Surprise…it’s mid-November!

What an eventful couple weeks we’ve had!  So much to blog about and so little time to actually blog.

I turned 33.

Bennett turned 1.

We moved all our stuff to our new house in Plano!

And we (well Bennett) is on the mend from the now notorious “Hand Foot Mouth” virus (think chicken pox on a lesser but still just as annoying and contagious scale). We also discovered at his 1 year well check that he had 2 well developed ear infections.  Bauer joined him with 1 ear infection and a fit of wheezing  so we are now doing two breathing treatments a day to work through that.

But regardless of all the chaos, we are getting settled in Plano and the close proximity to work, family and daycare was really fabulous this last week with the sick kiddos.

My favorite 1 year old becomes more and more independent by the day.  He’s not walking yet, but he is fast on the crawling front.  He wants to play with everything and especially loves to check it out if one of his siblings has a hand in it.  He’s following in Bauer’s footsteps with his love for trains and cars.  And following in Bree’s footsteps with his love for books.

It is so fun to see his personality emerge.  We’ve got him on milk now and he continues to be an incredible eater.  He’s typically in a state of perpetual motion, but this past week with his virus, he’s been a big cuddler which was pretty darn sweet.

He has also taken on a love of Bunson (who he calls pup-pup).  He finds more chances to hug on that dog than I ever remember with the other two.

He has an adventurous spirit like the older B’s and I can begin to see that devious side of him (like when you point at him and tell him to not put his hand in the dog water one more time and he smiles and points back at you causing you to forget what you were scolding him for) – he’s going to be a charmer like his big brother!  We are definitely in for it.

Trains!Bennett loves sports already…playing some hockey with Sean!

Playing with one of his new birthday gifts!

Hugging on Bunson.

This weekend’s weather really allowed us to play outside a lot.  It was fun to have some time to explore our new backyard and the nearby park.

Bree played some hockey on the front driveway as well.

Bauer brought his train set outside to play!

We rode our bikes to the park around the corner from our house!

Bree and Bauer both enjoyed standing on the stump in the backyard and performing for me!

I’m pretty sure this girl is a fan of her new house!

I’d say we are all pretty happy that the move is behind us and we can take our time making this house our new home (for the long haul).

We sadly had to cancel Bennett’s bday party (it was supposed to be today) due to his virus, but we hopefully will have an official celebration of his 1 year oldness down the road.  He’s okay with it being postponede…or at least that’s what he told me the last time he woke up in the middle of the night wanting a bottle like a little baby would :)

Transition is complicated for all of us!

Sometimes we all need a little bit of comfort from those who know us best!

Happy November everyone!
