Officially overdue…

So no Bauer theatrics in the middle of the night last night, thus I’m still pregnant and we are “patiently” waiting for his arrival.  I got an email from this listserv I’m on about being pregnant yesterday that said to not fret if you don’t have your baby on your due date.  Only 5% of babies are born on their due date…doesn’t that seem incredibly hard to believe :)   But I took it as a sign that 7/26 was not meant to be his birthday and we are looking forward to this week as he has to come say hi in the next 6 days.  I go to the doc tomorrow to have the “induction” discussion…hopefully there has been a lot of progress on the dialation front so the discussion will be quick and painless and involve a date at the hospital early rather than later in the week.

A couple good things came out of not having Bauer yesterday.  Sean, Bree and I got to see my brother, Michael, Erin and their new dog, Ruby!  She is an adorable basset hound/beagle mix that they call a “bagel”…how hilarious is that.  She is so friendly and we are looking forward to introducing her to Beaker and Bunson very soon!  Yeah for having another dog owner in the family!

Uncle Michael and Aunt Erin graciously agreed to babysit while Sean and I headed to Avril and Brian’s new house to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary.  The house in under renovation but is a really cool 100 year old house near downtown Dallas.  Its fun to see the changes they make everytime I visit.  It was also fun to see all our friends and think back 5 years ago to all the craziness that was had at Avril and Brian’s wedding.  Its amazing all that has happened in just 5 years!  We thought we could make the party very exciting by having my water break in their house, but alas, Bauer is not quite ready!!!
