Since Bree is my oldest I have no idea how to compare her to any ages older than six, but I will say that I am surprised how old SIX seems these days.
It seems like overnight she has just become a person….in the very best way possible
Maybe it seems like this birthday is so monumental because we have been “celebrating” said birthday for 2 full weeks. Due to her party getting postponed, all we talk about this this birthday. Tomorrow we will finally properly celebrate and will be able to move onto more important things like looking forward to birthday number 7!
We celebrated her birthday on the actual day, the 29th, way back in January with donuts for breakfast, family presents, gymnastics, Grammy presents and Chuckie Cheese but I never got the chance to post the pics. So here goes!
My six year old has expanded her donut store choices to include kolaches.Presents at 7am…AWESOME! Her very own computer. She’s been asked for since she turned 5…never fear, we have not lost our minds and bought a brand new Mac for our 6 year old. It is an old computer of Sean’s that he just fixed up for her.I got to tag along to gymnasitcs with my birthday girl and Grammy. Grammy got her a brand new leotard. PURPLE…love this girl!
When we got home from gymnastics, Bree wanted to put together her big present from Grammy….an American girl doll bed for Katherine (her doll). Luckily, Dad got home in time to help us out. To tell you the truth, I’m a little jealous of Katherine’s awesome bed! After giving lots of hugs and thanks to Grammy, we finally headed out to Chuckie Cheese. Bree had not wavered on her choice for this birthday dinner even once. Bree beat Bauer in a heated game of air hockey by only a couple goals.
All in all, what a great day spend celebrating 6 years ago when Bree finally decided to arrive 6 days after her due date. Not that I’m still bitter or anything…but the facts are the facts! She is still doing things on her own timeline to this very day…
