Dancing Daddy Daughter style…

I signed Sean and Bree up for the Plano Park and Rec Daddy Daughter dance hoping that Bree would get excited to get dressed up and spend the night having it be all about her with her Dad along for the ride.

Boy, was I unprepared for how excited she got about this event.

She got her makeup out about 3 hours before the dance started and wanted to put it on.  She wanted me to help and me to share my makeup which she discovered sadly is not a very extensive collection.  Luckily I found my one tube of lipstick so she didn’t completely write me off as useless!

Here she is getting ready!

Sean said once they got to the dance Bree did not stop moving.  She played tag around the dance floor with her best friend, Katherine and best friend’s sister, Madeline as well as showed off her favorite Fairy dance (when Sean lifts her up and twirls her around) over and over.

February 11 2013_00054_f There was also a dress up booth where they could try on lots of fun hats and costumes!  Bree apparently liked the mask the best! It goes so well with her dress :) February 11 2013_00064_f

I would venture to say the dance was a hit and that they will be going back to another one next year.  Bree is a dancing queen for sure as long as she can do her own moves and not be restricted by a routine or something equally silly!  Love that this girl beats to her own drum!  And love more that her dad encourages it and models the way!
