We wrapped up a busy Murphy weekend with Bree’s 2nd birthday party (her birthday is the 29th). We decided to keep things a little more low key this year and only invited our families to help us celebrate plus one of Bree’s buddies Harper and her parents! It turned out great. The weather was amazing…cool but sunny and we got to play outside. The theme of the party was football for many a reason…Bree loves to say “touchdown”, we spent the better part of the fall at TCU football games, tailgating and watching lots of pro and college football on TV. Oh and the best reason was the 2T Cheerleader outfit that Bree got last year when I went to a conference in Cincinnati. Sean is a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan so I got her an outfit to help cheer them on this season. We haven’t had a chance to wear it yet (the Bengals didn’t have the best season) and what better place to wear a cheerleading outfit than to your own football themed birthday party. She was just precious.

So for all intensive purposes our little baby girl is 2 (4 days early). Last year at this time, she was just learning to walk in those squeaky shoes everyone but Sean and I found so annoying. Acquiring a vocabulary was yet to start and we had no idea the fun that would come. She’s come a long way this year and while her “twoness” is already testing our sanity, we are so proud of her for making it life a constant adventure. We are also pretty proud of ourselves for making it through another year. While it hasn’t always been pretty…we have survived and have some pretty neat kiddos and memories to show for it!
Happy half birthday to Bauer as well…its crazy he’s already been around for 6 months! He’s been quite a trooper and gosh darn it is just adorable!
