Texas Winters…

So it’s the end of January in Texas which for the past few years at least has meant…ICE.  Or more appropriately for 2009, the threat of ice.  Many schools and business closed down today due to a big storm coming in that could have resulted in some serious ice in the afternoon.  No ice came about (but still may), regardless we were happy to stay put in our little house on Rocky Canyon for a fun Murphy “snow” day!

What do Murphys do on a “snow” day…well, I’ll just let the pictures do the talking:

We decided to get everything out and put nothing up :)

We broke a lot of our normal rules…such as standing up on the step stool in the middle of the floor.

So Bree decided to entertain with some gymnastic feats instead.

Took some naps in our favorite dog bed.

Ate lots of lots of homemade cookie dough

Played tea party and doned some TCU flair.

Had some serious conversations with the doggies.

What’s a snow day without hockey!

Oh and then there’s the “let’s impersonate bunson” game

Bauer was a big fan of his first snow day ever…his schedule didn’t change very much, but he sure liked having the attention of both Mom and Dad all day!

Here’s hoping for a snow day sequel tomorrow!
