A renewal…on a boat!

Do you recognize that couple in the picture above?  You may not because the two people in this picture had two date nights this past weekend and feel like a million bucks!  Yes, it’s still Sean and Julie (the most fertile people you may know), but it is Sean and Julie sans kids.

We have the lovely couple below to thank for our carefree Friday and Saturday night…

Congrats to Christie and Shawn on getting hitched and in turn throwing one great party after another!

I got to spend so much quality time with all my girls…below is just a sampling of them…

Sarah and I got to get Team Mur-Kamp together for one last party (she’s due with identical twin boys on or before November 1 and of course I’m due on November 5).

I rallied to hit the after-party on a boat on Lake Lewisville after the reception was over.  The theme of the affair was “GO TEAM”.  Such great memories were rehashed and made last night.  Caitlin and Sean showing off some of our swag!

Kori and I were probably the only sober people on the boat…gotta love this procreating thing!

Matt and Jenica towards the end of the night….Jenica was one dancing machine (as usual)!

After the boat party, this kid-less couple headed back to our quiet house and hit the hay.  We slept in, had an amazing bunch at Breadwinners and then headed to Grammy’s to pick up some crazy kiddos (thank you Mom and Dad for letting us have this break…we are so appreciative)!

It was truly such a nice time to reconnect with my hubby and with all our friends.  I’ll be the first to say that the dynamic starts to change when kids are involved and Sean and I believe in living our life with our kids and a lot of times this means that conversations with our friends get cut short, never happen or just become about the kids.  It is a special time when Sean and I get to be together at events and really have quality time with our Loop family!

We did miss our kiddos though and its always a good feeling to head into a day feeling refreshed and ready to take on anything B&B have to throw our way.

We took advantage of this beautiful day by heading to the park near my parents’ house.  It is one of the most beautiful man-made parks ever.  If we lived closer, I’d still be running around this park/lake every morning!

We first stopped at the playground…Bauer and Sean saw eye-to-eye on these plans!

Then we headed to check out the fountain….

Bree and I took our time getting to the rocks by the bridge!

We got to partake in a great picnic lunch that Grammy sent us home with…the kids had their first lunchables (Bree ate everything but the Oreos and Bauer ate the cream from the Oreos and half the cheese).

My boys in orange looked for every waterfall they could find.

Bauer even showed a few to Mommy!

And Bree was just a runner…from one thing to another…

The weather, company and agenda really combined to make this one of my favorite weekends in recent history!  Despite being over 35 weeks pregnant, I’m feeling amazing and ready to take on all that October has to offer.  Lots of good memories in these next few weeks will help our family work through the big transition headed out way in early November.

And I definitely could not feel more blessed!
