Those kid programs…

We know we are just getting started in the world of kids’ pagents, plays, sporting events, recitals, etc….and we are very excited as parents to show our support at all of them.

But I do find it humorous that the best little kid programs that I have been to so far are so short that it probably took you longer to get there and get home than it did for you to watch your kid perform.  But I remind myself that I will be wishing for these short and quick programs later in life when I’m forced to sit through a 9 inning baseball game with no time limit.

Bree had a Christmas program at her preschool last Friday.  She talked and talked about all the songs she would be singing.  She was so excited to show off for us on the “big stage”.

She wasn’t too happy that she had to wear a green or red shirt and something denim on bottom, but Sean coaxed her into it and we survived the meltdown (barely).

The whole clan of us headed up to her school and waited “patiently” (cue cheeto eating and ipad playing here for Bauer) for the show to start.

Bennett rested up for his big sister’s performance

Mommy and Bauer waiting for the big debut as well!

And then the curtains opened and a sea of red and green started to sing for us.

Bree was most excited that she could see us in the audience.  I was most excited that she wore a green shirt while almost everyone else wore red…makes her easy to spot!

She would join in for the singing about halfway through each carol.

Overall, it was very festive and very fun to see her up on stage!  She then headed to her Christmas party and the boys and I headed to eat lunch at Fuzzy’s.  Yummy!

Bauer forgot how much he loved the chips and queso, but finally gave in and ate a ton!

We went and picked up the girl after her party and all went home for naps after such a fun day!  It was definitely a great addition to our holiday season so far!
